Anant Anadi Vadnagar Archaeological Experiential Museum

Vadnagar, Gujarat

Located at Vadnagar, a town in the western India, adjacent to the Ambaghat excavation site, the Anant Anadi Vadnagar Archaeological Experiential Museum celebrates the 2500 years of cultural continuity of Vadnagar. Spread in the curation area of 68,500 sq ft, the museum is divided into 8 galleries, accompanied by an adjoining open Ambaghat excavation site. The museum design and curation by Design Factory India is a testament to Vadnagar, a city that has been alive for more than 2500 years, adapting, evolving and transitioning itself. Through a display of over 6000 excavated artefacts, the museum brings Vadnagar’s discoveries to life through lenses of city planning, belief systems and lifestyle practices across the 7 cultural periods. The museum is imagined, not as a mere collection of objects, but an alive, memorable place which visitors, both locals and tourists can visit multiple times.
